The Game That Changed Everything
LOBOTON is a fun, social, and friendly team sport. It's easier to learn than most racquet sports because there is no serving — players jump straight into the rally.
LOBOTON sessions are offered throughout the week for all levels. Beginning and Advanced players use LOBOTON to sharpen reactions, footwork, and team play.
- No serving — longer rallies, more fun
- Team-based — 3 players per side
- Fast-paced action with quick rotations
- All skill levels welcome
How to Play
Loboton is played on a standard court. The first team to win 10 points wins a round. A pro match consists of 24 total rounds — and the winning team must win the final round to clinch the match.
Choose your format below to learn the specific rules.
Team Setup
Normally played with three players on each team. All players start with 3 balls except for the initial feeder that has 4 balls.
The Feed
The player with 4 balls starts with a friendly feed and plays a point against a player on the other team. After the first point, aggressive feeds are allowed.
Rotation
When the point is over, the losing player comes off the court and their teammate immediately feeds the next ball and plays the next point against the winner.
Feed Rules
The feeder must feed the ball from behind the baseline and inside the doubles lines. The feed cannot be an overhead motion or a drop shot.
No Lets
There are no lets in this game. All balls are to be played regardless of net contact.
Winning
The team that runs out of balls first loses the game. Conserve your balls and play smart.
Team Setup
Loboton Doubles can be played with either 4 or 6 people on a team (2 or 3 doubles teams). All players start with 2 balls except for the initial feeder that has 3 balls.
The Feed
The player with 3 balls starts with a friendly feed and plays a point. After the first point, aggressive feeds are allowed.
Rotation
When the team loses a point, the entire losing team rotates out and the next pair on their side immediately steps in to play the next ball against the winning team.
Double Feed Penalty
If the feeding team accidentally feeds two balls at the same time, they lose both balls and the point.
Feed Rules
The feeder must feed from behind the baseline and inside the doubles lines. No overhead motions or drop shots.
Winning
No lets — all balls are played. The team that runs out of balls first loses the game.
Team Setup
Played with 3 people on each side. There are 8 balls in each ball holder on each side. One player has a neutral ball for the first feed.
Starting Formation
Two players are in and one person is waiting on the sidelines. The player with the neutral ball starts with a friendly feed against the doubles team on the other side.
Rotation
When the point is over, the player who missed comes off and the teammate from the sideline immediately feeds the next ball against the winning team.
Feed Rules
After the first point, aggressive feeds are allowed. Feeder must feed from behind the baseline and inside the doubles lines.
Match Format
A Pro Loboton match consists of 24 total rounds. The first team to win 10 points wins a round.
How to Win
The winning team must win the last round to clinch the match. This creates dramatic finishes.
McKinley Rule
If a player wins a point at the net then gets passed on the next feed, the next person on the team can play one ball. This is called the McKinley Rule.
3 Players Per Side
The game is played with three players on each side of the net. Standard Loboton singles rotation rules apply.
